The lighthouse at Formentor, Mallorca

The background shows sidewalk tiles - "rajoles" - that pave the sidewalks throughout Barcelona. They were designed by architect Puig i Cadafalch for the entryway of a home. Since 1915, they have been used by the city to pave sidewalks, and have become emblematic of the city. One of the city's most famous chocolatiers, Enric Rovira, produces chocolate bars in the shape and design of these tiles.

Ward Party

Our ward, like most wards in Spain, loves a party! The annual "Concurso de Pasteles" - dessert contest - in Barrio 2 is always a big event. The missionaries, always competitive, prepared a very creative entry:

As great as the "Libro de Mormon" cake was, it took second place to a delicious banana pie made by the Relief Society President...

    The cakes look too pretty to cut, but I can imagine that they will be delicious. Good going missionaries!!!!!
